About Lewes Little Theatre
Lewes Little Theatre was founded as Lewes Theatre Club by the Rev Kenneth Rawlings, establishing itself from 1939 in a former chapel in Lancaster Street, Lewes.
Over the years the premises have been extended and developed into a comfortable, well appointed theatre currently presenting a varied programme of events between October and July.
A major review of organisation and management began in 2017, leading in 2021 to the establishment of Lewes Little Theatre, a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO). Despite the many changes that have taken place over the years, we have kept the same core values set at our founding nearly 90 years ago: to produce valued theatre by the community for the community.
Lewes Little Theatre is committed in everything we do to the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion. Everyone has a part to play.
